Leaders of more than 100 countries, including Brazil, China, Russia and the United States, promised to end deforestation by 2030, the first major deal of the COP26 Climate Summit. The pledge, which includes almost $19.2 billion of public and private funds, will demand “transformative further action,” the countries’ declaration said.
